I enjoy memes a lot more than I enjoy traditional social media. About 7 years ago I decided to eliminate my involvement in Facebook and Instagram and I never was involved in Twitter. This was during a period of time where things were getting really politically heated online and I saw people that I knew were friends or even family saying the most awful things about one another on public forums. These were things that I know these people would not say to the other person's face. Cowards!
It was at that time that I decided that all of that was a waste of my time and life and I haven't looked back. Now when I have free time I scroll around 9Gag and honestly it is a waste of time as well. It does have the decency to be funny a lot of the time though and most of the stuff isn't too serious. Every now and then someone tries to sneak political propaganda into the posts but for the most part, everyone just blocks those people immediately.
Here are the memes or posts that I found that made me laugh or were meaningful to me. See if you agree
I have some friends and a few family members who live in Mexico. Some of them are also LoTR fans. This one kind of speaks for itself.
I have more than one. I reprimand them on a regular basis but they just can't seem to quit. I resorted to muting them and now they wonder why I don't answer very quickly. Learn how to message I guess.
This is stupid but it made me laugh. I wish I could find this shirt because I would definitely wear it.
I love dogs and when I was young my grandparents had a dairy farm. Cows are pretty cool too.
I think you have to be reasonably good at math, or at least not an idiot, to understand this. Knowing Lord of the Rings dialogue would probably be helpful as well.
There is a new baby hippo in the world that is captivating people with its cuteness. I also really like pickles and don't understand why anyone wouldn't.
Remember the motivational posters that were popular in the 90's or perhaps even longer. Demotivational posters appeal to me a lot more and I send these sorts of things to a lot of people that i know.
Just another one in the same category.
This wasn't even on the internet. This was a piece of cardboard that was on the stairs of my apartment complex entrance. That is my foot in the picture. What am I supposed to do here?
This one I enjoyed because I have some blowhard friends here that like to make claims like this and I agree. If I had a steak and a salad with a little bit of cheese and a piece of bread people would consider that healthy, but if I have a cheeseburger it is somehow the worst thing I can eat.
The same people eat mountains of Asian rice dishes that have bit of meat and veg in it that was all stir fried in what is likely teh worst possible kind of oil you can fry things in.
Just let other people eat buddy.
Speaking of diets. I have had some vegan friends in the past. Some of them were quietly being vegan for personal reasons and another group was a couple that I will just call "militant vegans." They constantly made claims like the one on this fake book here. One of the worst was that vegan cheese tastes just like real cheese. I had some of it one day and it was some of the most disgusting tasting slop I have ever had.
If you want to be vegan, good for you... but stop with the lies.
Normally I would end a post of this sort with a cute picture of Nadi but I have been flooding the airwaves with her pics lately so we'll just have to save that for another time.
if you have any memes that made you smile or think, please share them back. I do enjoy them a great deal.
Adios!
