Description of the work:
This vibrant coastal landscape painting is characterized by an expressionist and abstract style, where the impasto technique (very thick application of paint, probably with a palette knife) gives the surface a textured and energetic relief.
The composition is divided into three large horizontal planes:
· The sky: Dominated by a deep, cobalt blue, dotted with pure white clouds that seem moved by a strong wind. Occasional touches of pink and lilac add a dreamlike tinge to sunrise or sunset.
· The land strip: In the center, a dark line of vegetation or cliffs paints the horizon in olive green, brown and black tones. The bold carmine red strokes that emerge from the base of the trees stand out especially, providing a brutal chromatic contrast and a very striking focal point.
· The coast and the sea: Just below the vegetation, a thin golden yellow line separates the land from the ocean, suggesting a sun-kissed beach or coastal reflections. The water occupies the lower third, represented in turquoise, blue and aquamarine, with abundant white splashes that simulate the foam of the waves breaking against the shore.
· The foreground: In the lowest part, dark shapes, almost silhouettes, evoke black rocks or logs dragged by the tide, anchoring the composition to the earth and creating depth.
In the lower right corner you can see the artist's signature, "Gonzalo 26", which dates the work to this year. The result is a dynamic and chaotic piece in its workmanship, but balanced in its palette, which transmits the indomitable force and wild beauty of the coast.
