A river, mangroves, the sea and mountains ⛰️/Un río, mangles, el mar y montañas (EN/ES)

I share this photograph where it all began. I was in the Las Casas River, on the Isle of Youth, exactly in the port. While waiting to set sail for Havana in a cargo boat, I entertained myself observing the calm river and its mangrove vegetation. I can tell you with certainty that there is a very comforting island tranquility; The air smelled of salt and mountains, and the coming and going of the seabirds constantly reminded me that in a few minutes I would be on the high seas.
A journey of 60 nautical miles awaited me, between the keys and calm, shallow waters.
Generally you can always see a dolphin jumping in the sea 🐬. I'll see if I'm lucky this time
Finally the expected time arrived and the trip began. It was not the typical comfort trip that we usually take, but the time passed quickly between jokes with the sailors and shared stories. Late in the afternoon, the barge moved away from the island and the sea, along with the small mountains that can be seen on the horizon, gave me these beautiful views that I take the opportunity to share with you.

Les comparto esta fotografía donde comenzó todo. Me encontraba en el Río Las Casas, en la Isla de la Juventud, exactamente en el puerto. Mientras esperaba zarpar hacia La Habana en una patana de carga, me entretuve observando el río calmado y su vegetación de manglares. Les puedo decir con seguridad que se respira una tranquilidad insular muy reconfortante; el aire olía a sal y a monte, y el ir y venir de las aves marinas me recordaba constantemente que en unos minutos estaría en alta mar.
Me esperaba un recorrido de 60 millas náuticas, entre la cayeria y aguas tanquilas y poco profundas.
Generalmente siempre se deja ver saltando en el mar algún delfín 🐬. Veré si en esta ocasión tengo suerte.
Por fin llegó la hora esperada y el viaje se inició. No fue el típico viaje de confort que hacemos habitualmente, pero el tiempo pasó rápido entre bromas con los marineros y historias compartidas. Entrada la tarde, la barcaza se alejó de la isla y el mar, junto a las pequeñas montañas que se observan en el horizonte, me regaló estas lindas vistas que aprovecho para compartir con ustedes.
