In our curriculum in high school, we were taught about the tourist attractions in our country and if there was one destination that stood out, it is definitely the Olumo Rock. It is located in the western part of Nigeria. The rock is actually a natural defence system for an ancient ethnic group called Egba. It is very huge and infused with steps for visitors to climb and have a view.
OBUDU CATTLE RANCH
It is one of finest and best ranches in the whole of West Africa. It is situated in the southern part of Nigeria and it is close to the border with Cameroon. The ranch is unique because of the amazing topography. It is a good stop for everyone to visit
It is usually having a cold temperature because of the topography, it gives an amazing view of nature and land deposition
YANKARI GAMES RESERVES
It is one of the top tourist attractions in the country. It is very important and symbolic to the nation as it hosts a vast variety of animals especially elephants. It is designed to have a natural habitation for the animals. It is situated in the Northern part of Nigeria
ZUMA ROCK
This is a very symbolic tourist attractions, I have known it since I was a child growing up. The Zuma rock is located in the Federal Capital Territory and is quite important in providing a cover for the city. It is one of my many tourist attractions to made it on the currency note of the country. A tribe called Zuba are associated with the Zuma Rock.
It is the heart of our Afrobeats music. It is the shrine where the originator of modern day African music made and performed songs. It has been visited by various celebrities across the world and even presidents. It is symbolic to our history and hence a tourist attraction.
BONNY ISLAND
This is located in the southern part of Nigeria and it is an ancient kingdom surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean with a wide spread of beaches. It is a riverine Community with beautiful islands, the islands hosts regular carnivals for tourists yearly.
ASO ROCK
It is the presidential seat of the country, it is situated in the heart of the country. It is nicknamed Aso Rock because it symbolises protection of the seat of power. It is huge and very solid for a natural deposit attracting alot of people to have a glimpse of the beauty
