At 7 years old, over the time of a summer, I learned about inflation and taxes because my Snickers candy bar kept going up in final price. Initially, a quarter got me a Snickers bar and I got a nickel in return. Then, at a later time, I only got 4 pennies in return because of a 1 penny tax. Then, at the end of the summer, my quarter was no longer enough because of inflation. The price was 25 cents and a 1 penny tax.
