Thanks for the memories, GoldKey - @goldkey. My Father gave me, a US Peace Silver Dollar, for graduating, the First Grade. 1958. At only seven years, I understood its value. Dad explained Silver's value, and how heavy coins could wear a hole, in one's pocket. Silver Certificates were easier to carry and could be redeemed, at a bank, for Physical Silver. Several years later, Silver coins began to vanish, slowly, then suddenly.
The Local Coin Shop sells these old, US Silver Certificates, for less than, $2 each, and lowest priced, US Silver Dollars, for $30 USD.
