Today I'm going to provide a little bit more commentary as to how this drawing came to be. I woke up early and asked my good, dear friend what I should draw. The answer was, “A turtle!”
This is the top of the turtle's shell with the tail to the left and the head starting to take shape on the right.
The tail has turned into another head, but with an empty eye, whereas the whole image is also going to become an insect head with a long, curled proboscis on the bottom.
The moment I sign and date the drawing is the moment when I commit to finishing it. We can now see an elephant forming on the right and a transhuman cool dude on the left with his big brain interface to the malevolent interdimensional AI, which is yet to be drawn in this picture.
Said AI is represented by a Borg cube here. In the center, we start seeing a third-eye and crown operator straining under the stress of productivity. Beneath him the only being not to look back is coming to life. Between the third-eye and crown operator and the transhuman cool dude we have the passive consumer, representing our generation.
Now we start recognizing the evil dictator in the bottom right corner with a Goa'uld in his heart and looking like a slave to his lower chakras.
The central creature not looking back isn't too much better off, as it is electronically plugged into the shoddy-ideal machinery.
Finally we have a second being not looking back: the happy face to the top left of the third-eye and crown operator.
When we apply color, we can see the evil dictator projecting a blue-eye image to the outside while having hazel eyes on the inside. The Borg cube emanates only the frequencies up to about the solar plexus, one of the main qualities of the malevolent AI we talked about earlier. To the right of the third-eye and crown operator, we have war, religion, and the coronavirus. Underneath those, from left to right: a rando being transformed from wet brain to AI brain, a DMT being of profound indifference and intimate observation, and a bright and colorful amoeba. The elephant has a big hole, still somewhat red, where its tusk used to be. The turtle is more of a dragon, and almost everyone is looking back, most of them at the Borg cube, in fear or admiration or that strange mix of the two that some deities in popular religious texts so often seem to demand. What was originally the tail of the big turtle is a reptilian head with artificial intelligence visible in its eye, holding trapped in its mouth the eye representing the final evolution of a transhuman.
If anyone liked this narration/explanation, please let me know. I can write one for all my drawings if you're interested.
As for the last few drawings, I used a Noodler's Triple Tail fountain pen filled with Noodler's Bernanke Black, and Arteza colored pencils. The paper is Rhodia.
