Cheb Hasni (Arabic: الشاب حسني), by using his real identify Hasni Chakroun (Arabic: شقرون حسني), is an Algerian singer, also recognized as the Rossignol of the Raï, was once born in Oran in Algeria on February 1, 1968, and died assassinated at the age of 26, on September 29, 1994, at the nook of the street the place he lived. With his parents, he lived in the Gambetta district of Oran, his household being from the wilaya of Mascara. He is considered the king of the sentimental rai.
