There are ways to do this to crypto, erasing wallets or changing code to screw with investors. I know because I did it to myself on accident and it wasn't hard to do, maybe it was a sign not to get involved with digital money because I worked for a long time to get that money that I paid taxes on and everything and I could have bout something of value but instead some stupid digital money, what was I thinking!?

We are heading for the end of society by putting so much trust in something so fragile.
