I was going to give the baby raccoon back yesterday, but I decided to keep him for another night. He really does need to go back, though. I can't keep him. It will be very hard to say goodbye, since he is very sweet and totally charming, even if he is a little demanding.

I saw my friend yesterday, ostensibly to give the raccoon back, and not only did she not go home with the little critter, she also managed to send me home with a bantam rooster! She got a second one and the new one beat the tar out of this little guy, so in order to save him from certain death, I have adopted him.

He is one of the mellower roosters I've ever met. He doesn't mind being picked up, and he will stand on my hand and hang out and crow. I'm pretty sure he is full grown, and isn't much bigger than a pigeon. I am such a sucker! Anything cute and little and in mortal danger, there they are in the back of the car.

We haven't come up with a name yet, so I am throwing it out to you guys. If anyone has a good idea, leave it in the comments!

I am not supposed to bring any more animals home, but it keeps happening. Maybe I shouldn't leave the house for a couple of weeks, just to keep the population under control.

We have been calling the raccoon Robin, because he's too little to be Batman. It turns out that the new rooster isn't too concerned about Robin. I'm sure that would change if Robin stayed around long enough to get big and feisty.

So this is the newest addition to the farm! Please let me know if you come up with a good name for him.
