Art Prompt Writing Contest #8 Results

Profound apologies for the delay in judging. My health has taken a turn for the worse, making it difficult to read and focus. With a lot of help from @bex-dk, I have finally made my decision. As I received many excellent submissions, this made it hard to keep to just 2 runners up. Therefore, I have increased it to 4 runners up, each one receiving 5 Steem.

Authors were asked to write an original piece of fiction of between 500 and 1500 words, using this image as a story prompt. I was blown away by the sheer diversity of different tales, all bringing something completely different.
