You'd notice for almost two weeks now I have been emphasising or better still, shouting I AM A WRITER and yen yen yen... 😁
Alright, the intent is to inform and create awareness for if one cannot publicise oneself well first today, getting a second party to do it may not just do the magic.
What is THE MAGIC?
THE MAGIC is to make money WRITING.
Whatever one does one ought to be earning from no matter how little yet. Nothing said is free is free. Everything comes at a cost, not everything ought to come at a cost. That COST is what would make me to be able to buy shoes, caps, cloths, tip my babe occasionally, give momma or papa some thing you know, give the needy, refresh and ultimately feed self you know? 😀
Hence that idea that some people have by default that because you have advertised yourself (you'd first) WRITE for them for free means they don't love the WRITER at all. DO YOU THINK WRITING IS EASY BECAUSE IT APPEARS SO? Come on, if you know how hard it could be to create impression you want on the reader with a statement or if you know the kinds of criticisms I have faced freelancing for those whites ehn, you would agree to PAY. THOSE WHITES at times would insult me as if I didn't pass through even Nursery school. And that same thing they themselves cannot write but they have the theory up in their scalps. Give a WRITER A JOB AND PAY HANDSOMELY ACCORDINGLY.
Ease off on that; let's encourage WRITERS with their beautiful minds; it is not easy. Even if I am to write you a birthday poem that is classical, you ought to pay me for that. You sha paid for the cake and the photoshoot and all that right? So, why can't you pay me for writing you a cool poem come on, you want me to starve right? (just kidding but at the same time serious).
In actuality, we ought to use whatever we have to help our living. If an hitman could use his skills to kill to feed, why can't I use my WRITING skills to make some cool living as well? Is the ultimate purpose not common for all of us? We all do one thing or the other in other for us never to find ourselves wanting. Isn't it?
