Here is a monthly BTC chart from the Bitstamp exchange, quite the parabolic move up and the ensuing crash.
There was 3 red heikin ashi bars illustrating the downtrend and it now has one green bar which is a good sign for those long.
Stochastics have flattened out so there may be a shift in momentum.

The weekly chart is from the Gdax exchange and you can see the resistance at the 9170 level.
It has 4 green heikin ashi bars, but the current bar is 'short' which suggests a momentum loss.
It did not drop below the Feb 6th low of 5873 which is technically a good sign.
Stochastics are on the way up, will the momentum continue?

The daily chart shows that the price pierced the 9174 level only to find resistance by the 200 dma (blue line)
A few red heikin ashi bars have been printed and stochastics have turned over.
I do not have the lower trend line on the chart, but it is rising and will squeeze BTC in a week or so. I expect a break either up or down. (Compared to the sideways trading range that it has been in over the last few weeks)

From coinmarketcap, BTC has 35% of the mktcap and the 'alts' have 25%. It appears that the 'alts' are gaining momentum on BTC, we'll see by the end of the year. BTC had a mktcap dominance of 90% in 2016...
