Didn’t get round to an update yesterday as I was ill, but there would have been very little to tell anyway – certainly no difference in prices across the board. I made my first long term purchase in a while though – I’ve been hearing a lot of hype about NAS and although I already hold a very small holding I didn’t know much about it, but now I’ve done more research I’ve added to it. Looks like it could be a good earner when it hits a better exchange.

There seems to be quite a bit of talk about today being some kind of a catalyst for either a BTC bull run up to £20k or a drop down to £8k due to the futures contract ending. I’m not sure it’s that cut and dried, and it’s been such a long descent down from £20k it feels like it would take something huge to get out of that rut. Either way I’m going to hodl throughout whatever happens, but it would be nice to see some decent green back on the board.

The futures contract ends at 4pn UTC, so let’s see if all hell breaks loose or nothing at all happens!

Mining Update

After some self-induced problems with USB risers I got my third GPU installed and my mining rig is now pumping out near on 100MH/s which is netting me 0.9 LUX per day. It also looks much neater now I’ve properly set it up:

There’s room for another GPU on the motherboard, so if Bitcoin does indeed have a nice bull run I might get another one, along with a Surface Book pro for my wife’s birthday.

Cashing out update

Uphold sent me an email after about 48 hours telling me my withdrawal had been processed, which means it should arrive into Revolut (if Revolut accepts it) by today. If it’s not today then it will be Monday. I’d much rather know today of course, but patience is key in this game!
