A slight bounce this morning across the board but sadly nothing to get excited about. It’s mainly in response to the news from the G20 that crypto is not on their radar for regulation, despite all the assertions from various news outlets that is only used by criminals and terrorists. Interesting then that the G20 of all groups didn’t think it was too bad a thing.
Whilst this is good news and has led to an expected jump, it doesn’t change the fundamental fact that there aren’t enough new buyers in the space to kick things on, meaning that BTC will probably drop back down to the $7k area as anticipated. It fell to about $7.3k over the weekend, just shy of my $7.2k buy order, but I’m not going to change anything just get – I still think this week could see more falls. 95% of my BTC is in the hands of margin traders, the fruits of which I should hopefully be able to keep a track of soon. All the technical speak is completely alien to me, but as long as these guys can read charts and don’t like sleep I should make money in all markets!
Another little bonus was a TEL payout of 1.1m tokens which I randomly found in my wallet. I still have no idea why I have them, but at the time of arrival they were worth about £1,200, so that was a nice little bonus. I bought quite a big bag at ICO so maybe it’s something to do with that, but whatever the reason…a very welcome bonus nonetheless!
Another bonus this weekend was the fact that I could finally send my TokenPay coins to my Windows wallet so I could stake it after months in Android purgatory, and it turns out I get about 1.9 per day which could be a nice little earner if it meets it targets. I might just sell the staked coins and keep the capital, unless it hits ridiculous levels.
I got all the paperwork through for the starting up of my crypto business last week too which makes it all the more real! I really do need to watch some videos on how to keep records etc. so I can start as I mean to go on and not be left with a backlog. I’m bad enough at keeping a tight rein on my own tax affairs, but this is much more serious! It’s going to be 99% for coins I receive through passive income, mining and staking, so I need to make sure I keep a distinction between the two, or find a way to merge all my gains through the company. There are still a few traditional banks who won’t take me on if they get even the slightest whiff of crypto, so I have to be careful who I approach.
