The media has made everyone feel that a particular thing is the norm and should be done by everyone, and if one person decides to do something different, it means the person isn't right and is breaking the norms.

Because the crowd is doing a particular thing doesn't make it right, and also because everyone says it's right doesn't make it right, it's fine to break out of the crowd, it's okay to be different, it's okay to not want to do things a particular way.

And someone said, who made it a rule that everyone must do a flamboyant wedding because many had started borrowing money just to meet the standard of what society tags an Ideal wedding. After all, everyone is doing it and because the media constantly portrays a big wedding as an ideal type of wedding.

Because we want to follow the crowd, we end up competing with people we are not supposed to compete with, because society sees being different as being a rebel and showing off, we end up dimming our light to please others.

Society, the media, and the crowd shouldn't define how we should look or act, some make it look like it is the proper thing to do but then if you tell them the proper thing to do, not many of them will want to do it.

It's okay to be different, it is okay to not want to act the way others are acting, it is okay to refuse the definition of what the media defines as an ideal lifestyle, and you do not have to go the way of the crowd. There is nothing wrong with being different, there is nothing wrong with taking the other route or looking the other way and choosing a different thing from what they call ideal. Choose to be different, it's okay to be different.
