I got up this morning and for some weird reason I have this lingering thought on my mind?
Do you guys feel it is okay to do something bad for a greater good? The reason I asked this was because the previous night, I had seen a political post online that made me realize that we might as well be in deep trouble if we don't come out to vote out this current government during the next election (which is next year).
But then looking at the man who most of us would like to win, there's a huge possibility he might not win as most other contestants are corrupt politicians who wouldn't mind to grease the palms of whomever they have to, and do some other unspeakable things just to make sure they come out victorious, things I'm not sure the guy I would love to win is willing to do.
So when I got up this morning, I still found myself thinking about the situation and that was where the question came from. I was wondering, if the priest who saved Hitler from drowning when he was a little kid, would that have been a good thing, seeing how Hitler later turned out to be.
Would killing one person to save a hundred or in this case, would becoming a corrupt politician in order to become a good one when you get in power be seen as a good thing or is being wrong simply seen as wrong, irrespective of what your intentions are.
Personally, my thought on it is a bit divided because on one hand, I think that if your intentions are pure, then maybe it's not so bad, but then again will I say the same thing if I was the one person who has to die in order for the other hundred to be saved? I sincerely do not think so.
So please leave a comment below on what you think.
