Of all my contribution to #MarketFriday and perhaps of all the blogs I've made, this is the most reluctant post I ever came up with. The main reason is because we are taught not to blow the trumpet when giving gifts. But I know deep within me I'm not bragging or anything, I just want to share what we did and will be doing until the situation calls for it.
So, here it goes...
A friend who lives in a farmland had called to inform us that the price per kilo of the freshly harvested cucumbers is only P20 ($0.40), squash is P10 per kilo ($0.20), bitter gourd is P20 per kilo. Basically, everything--from eggplant, bottle gourd, ribbed loofah, banana--are more than half the price less compared to our local market.
Thus, my family decided to buy in bulk for our consumption and most especially for the friends who are in need.
Corona virus is still devastating the Philippines a little too harsh. 😢 And because most people doesn't have much economically, many are really in need of relief. Many are suffering, are in hunger, and are in plain poverty. 😭
This is just a simple way to show friends that we care, and that we are willing to help the best way we can. ❤
(With all honesty, I am battling with myself if I will push this through 'til the last minute of posting. 🙈)
