Joining with Christ begins with repentance. Until the day we meet with Christ. We are our own natural and corrupt individuals, cut off from God, heading for judgement and destruction in hell fire as a result of our sinful nature. When therefore we surrendered to Jesus Christ, then he came into our mortal body with his divine nature. His spirit intertwined with our spirit, thereby sanctifying us.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. - 2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV.
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. - Romans 8:9 KJV.
he that has none of his spirit is none of him. By the help of the Holy Spirit, we becomes one with Christ, sharing everything with Christ.
His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. - 2 Peter 1:1-4 NIV.
We possess a divine nature at birth in Christ Jesus that now make us one with him. We become complete in him. By a diligent walk with Christ, we can remain complete in him.
