My name is God'sgift Samuel Bassey, I am from Afia Nsit, Eket LGA, Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria. I was born on the 21st of April. I am tall in height, dark in complexion and fat in built. I am from a family of five, which includes my father, mother and two younger sisters of which am the first daughter.
My father is an Evangelist in Christian Fellowship Evangelical church Nigerian, Uyo. He is also a business man who sales cement as a retailer and he is also involved in networking business. My mother is a business woman who sells foods stuffs, she also sells foreign drugs and she is a subsistent farmer.
I am a final year student studying English combined with social studies in Akwa Ibom state college of Education, Afaha Nsit, Uyo, Nigeria. During the COVID 19 lockdown, I went for training at my aunt's shop who is a tailor. There, I had knowledge of how to sew simple gowns and blouse which I wear.
Things I love to do are;
shopping, singing, cooking, chatting with my colleagues, reading books that improves and builds my inspirations, I love listening to music and of all,I love teaching.
The games I love playing are ludo and whot. I love watching football, basketball ball, wrestling, and table tennis.
I am from a Christian home and I like being truthful, straight forward in dealings with people,and not being impartial.
I dislike partiality,bribe,lies and indiscipline.
My favourite food is Rice and stew and my best colour is baby pink.
Although, in my secondary school level,I had a dream of studying law and becoming a barrister to serve and save humanity,but because admission into university was delayed, I had to start an NCE program at college of education just to know and experience what higher institution looks like.
While in my year one,I noticed that I had developed full interest in the field of education,most especially when I was sent to Lutheran primary school located at Afaha offiong, Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria for teaching practice,I really observed that I didn't feel reluctant in forming lesson notes to teach everyday, organizing the learner's, teaching , asking the pupils questions and also answering questions asked by the pupils. This has made me have in mind that teaching is my calling and I now have the vision of studying till I become a professor in education.
I am always happy when I am called upon to lead or direct a group of people,and because of this,I contested for the post of the director of welfare in Akwa Ibom state college of education,uyo,Nigeria which I won. This really gave me the opportunity to serve the students well.
This does not mean I have lost interest in becoming a barrister. I have it in mind to still study law and become a barrister but this will only be accomplished after being a professor in education.
I was introduced to this platform by my school dad by name @tomlee.He told me that this platform needs consistency and discipline.I have decided to join this platform because I want to improve my writing skills and I believe that I would be rewarded greatly.
In this plat form,I will be making post that are educative in nature, my post will be more on education. I will also make post about certain things in my culture,my tradition,my religion and fashion and I know I will be rewarded greatly for it.
