As i lay my head to sleep
I won't grasp these bed posts of reality
that clutch at my thoughts
with fists as strong as cold steel.
I will let go
and drift effortlessly through the maze of emptiness
my eyes closed to the chaos of consciousness
a wingless flight
through the abyss of gloom and burnt dreams.
And when the dawn comes
i will kiss the sun on its fiery cheeks
and light my path with it's smile
my door will not lead outside anymore
it will lead to an emancipation
so strong
it brings my aching knees to the floor.
