Hello people. I just found out about this tag #ninetiesfriday. I love the '90s 馃槏

So, for my first post in this tag, I'll start with this: Next month, there will be a music festival called the 90's Festival in Jakarta. The lineup includes Suede (or London Suede for some), Frente, Steelheart, Ronan Keating, 911, and many more I don't remember.

I will attend it for sure. I missed it when Suede had a tour here years ago, and I won't miss it this time.

I was quite optimistic that the festival would have Manic Street Preachers too, since a couple of months ago, Suede toured with Manic Street Preachers. Sadly, it won't happen at this festival. Bummer.

Okay, so, for this #ninetiesfriday, I'd like to share 5 Britpop tunes that I really like, in no particular order. And for this list, I'm not picking any songs from Oasis or Blur, just because.

The Bluetones - Slight Return

Ocean Colour Scene - The Day We Caught The Train

Pulp - Babies

Supergrass - Moving

Suede - Animal Nitrate

So there you have it, 5 Britpop songs from the '90s that I really like. Although if you ask me what made those songs my favorite, I can't be sure (except for Suede, that might be a recency bias).

I think it was just that I grew up listening to those songs, and Britpop was really a big thing back then. Listening to these songs brings back many happy memories. 馃檪

Let me hear from you guys: what are your favorite Britpop songs?
