Her tears fall
He tries to comfort them
Her heart ache will last a lifetime
His will be a moment and eternal
“It will be alright,” he says.
“The universe is infinite,
With parallel worlds,
Every possibility exits.
In another life we’re still together.”
Her tears continue.
She understands this lifetime’s immediate existence.
He is comforted knowing
All things happen
Good and bad
Happy and sad
All choices and no choices matter
For every outcome exits and doesn’t.
“Somewhere out there, in a parallel life, we are still together.” He says liberating himself from the anxiety of choice.
In this stream of time,
He knows he will be alone.
And this simple action
Will fork his timeline of awareness
To an unknown future
And somewhere out there
They are still together
Happy or sad
But none of it matters
Because Everything is infinite
And everything has happened and will happen
He smiles
For it is exciting to him not to have a preconceived notion of a future
Drifting through a current of time.
