Get to know the San José de Cagua church and its surroundings [ENG/ESP]

Hello my friends readers! Today I was in a village near my town in Cagua, Aragua State, Venezuela. I was doing some unfinished tasks which were left unfinished, since today is celebrated the 12th of October: Day of the Indigenous Resistance (formerly "Day of the Race") and being a holiday it complicated my plans.

¡Hola amigos lectores! El día de hoy estuve en un pueblo cercano a mi localidad en Cagua, Edo. Aragua, Venezuela. Estaba realizando unos pendientes los cuales quedaron inconclusos, puesto que hoy se celebra el 12 de Octubre: Día de la Resistencia Indígena (antiguamente "Día de la raza"( y al ser feriado se me complicó lo planeado.

You know me, I am a positive, proactive and spiritual woman. I like to know the religious centers of each city and I knew the one in Cagua for a long time, since part of my family was born there, so I did not hesitate to take some pictures and show you this beautiful building and its surroundings.

Ustedes me conocen soy una mujer positiva, proactiva y espiritual. Me gusta conocer los centros religiosos de cada ciudad y el de Cagua lo conocía desde hace mucho tiempo; puesto que parte de mi familia nació allí, así que no dudé tomar unas fotografías, y mostrarles esta bonita edificación y sus alrededores.

The San José de Cagua church is a wonderful religious temple, it is a XVII century building according to the locals, people say that its historical relevance is important, but its architecture reminds us of the tenderness of this small town.

The church as a center of spirituality congregates a considerable part of the religious community, being a socio-cultural and liturgical center that invites you to learn more about the town and forge ties with a city that little by little has been strengthening.

The historical significance of this church is impregnated in each and every one of the restorations it has undergone, where it has not lost its essence, since the maintenance is carried out without considerable changes.

La iglesia San José de Cagua es un templo religioso maravilloso, se trata de una edificación del siglo XVII según los lugareños, las personas cuentas que su relevancia histórica es importante, pero su arquitectura nos recuerda lo tierno de esta pequeña ciudad.

La Iglesia como centro de espiritualidad congrega una parte considerable de la comunidad religiosa, siendo un centro socio-cultural y litúrgico que invita a conocer más de la localidad y forjar lazos con una ciudad que poco a poco se ha ido fortaleciendo.

El significado histórico de esta iglesia esta impregnado en todas y cada una de las restauraciones que ha sufrido, donde no ha perdido su esencia, ya que el mantenimiento sea realizado sin cambios considerables.

I have to say that visiting the San José de Cagua Church and the Sucre Square is an experience that takes you to a symbolic time machine; where a colonial era is transferred to our time, while it offers a landscape of harmony and originality.

Serenity and peace is what you breathe in its surroundings, to the point that just in front of it we can observe a great amount of birds. In addition, the illustrious Sucre square stands as a small reservoir of iguanas, which adorn the nature of this city with tropical climate.

He decir que visitar la Iglesia San José de Cagua y la plaza Sucre es una experiencia que te lleva a una simbólica maquina del tiempo; donde una época colonial se traslada a nuestros tiempo, mientras te brinda un paisaje de armonía y originalidad.

Serenidad y paz es lo que se respira en su alrededores, al punto que justo enfrente podemos observar gran cantidad de aves. Ademas, la ilustre plaza Sucre se alza como un pequeño reservorio de iguanas, que engalanan la naturaleza de esta ciudad con clima tropical.

I was very curious about the number of iguanas, in a small area I could count a total of 10 of various sizes and colors. Es de resaltar, el buen ejemplo I could see how no one seemed uncomfortable or annoyed by the presence of the animals.

Another point to highlight is the cleanliness that is maintained in each space, which gives it an admirable and mystical tinge, recognized by everyone who has the opportunity to pass through there.

Me causó gran curiosidad la cantidad de iguanas, en una pequeña zona pude contar un total de 10 de varios tamaños y colores. Es de resaltar, el buen ejemplo ciudadano de todos los que hicieron vida alrededor de ellas, ya que se sentía la admiración de parte de ellos, sin comportamientos hostiles; pude ver como nadie parecía incomodo o molesto por la presencia animal.

Otro punto a resaltar es la limpieza que se mantiene en cada espacio, que le da un tinte admirable y místico, reconocido por todo el que tiene la oportunidad de transitar por allí.

I sat for about an hour observing my surroundings. I saw how many families congregated to enjoy a cool environment, I could notice some modified places for games like chess, and spaces where children and adults seemed to have a good time.

Estuve alrededor de una hora sentada observando mi entorno. Vi como muchas familias se congregaban a disfrutar de un ambiente fresco, pude notar algunos sitios modificados para juegos como el ajedrez, y espacios donde niños y adultos parecían pasar un buen momento.

I invite you to visit Cagua and stroll through these places that give you that humble and charming face of my country Venezuela. Cagua is a town where smiles are not lacking, people are coupled to nature as what it is: a companion and energetic filter of the world, let's follow their example and learn to enjoy the simplicity by taking the spaces it gives us for pleasant moments with family and friends.

Lo invito a visitar Cagua y pasearse por estos sitios que te brindan esa cara humilde y encantadora de mi país Venezuela. Cagua es un pueblo donde las sonrisas no faltan, la gente se acopla a la naturaleza como lo que es: una compañera y filtro energético del mundo, sigamos su ejemplo aprendamos a disfrutar de la sencillez tomando lo espacios que nos brinda para momentos agradables entre familia y amigos.

In my case, Cagua helped me to drain a little of the stress that is part of my responsibilities and gave me a smile that I carry in my heart and is externalized in the return to my home.

En mi caso, Cagua me ayudó a drenar un poco del estrés que hace parte de mis responsabilidades y me brindo una sonrisa que llevo en el corazón y se exterioriza en el regreso a mi hogar.
