A drinking competition was scheduled between two communities in Abia state, the communities are Igbere and Ngwa, following their decision to hold a friendly-drinking-competition.
One week to the competition, Igbere community sent a delegate named Maazị Igu, to Ngwa for confirmation of the scheduled date of the competition and to ascertain if it was still going to hold.
On getting to Ngwa community, Maazị Igu, requested to have a taste of the supposed palm wine for the event, and was served with 20 litres of their strongest Nkwu-enu (palm wine) as kola by the Udi community.
Maazị Asadu asked; "Can I have a test of it?"
The Ngwa people "granted his request as they availed him a "who send you" big cup, Maazị Igu on a first taste, finished the whole 20 litres and said; "This palm wine is a good one, now, where is the main drink?"
The people of Ngwa were flabbergasted as fear grip them, making one of the elders to asked, "are you among the competitors?"
Maazị Igu replied; "No, I didn't qualify to participate in the competition".
The people of Ngwa had to call off the competition immediately, saying, 'e choke us, we no do again' 😂😂😂
