Another handcut collage creation from the Street Saints series, a rather poor title but i was never good with titles. I remember when i started, 15 years ago, i had my friends writing the titles because i could not decide what to write. The Captain is inspired by a photo i found, showing a cute wrinkled old man wearing a hat. His face was quite the challenge because since then i was only making female portraits with smooth lines and of course no facial hair. For the skin i used the same photo with Hidden Beauty collage, a winter landscape in sepia tone. For the beard i used a cloudy sky photograph with a lot of shades of blue and white. I think it was the toughest one because i had to cut a lot of little pieces and create a mosaic, but i am really proud of the result. The cup was the easiest because i chose a plain and simple white colour and of course for the end a golden foil background.
