Gif Contest, sponsored by nTopaz.

I am very happy to announce another contest sponsored by @ntopaz and this time is a Gif contest.

Theme.

Gif animation is a contemporary form of art that stands between image and video. It is both and it is none and this is so intriguing and interesting for me. A sequence of photos with major or or minor motion remind me a lot of the vintage frame to frame animation which i really admire.

Dear artists keep in mind that nTopaz platform does not support yet Gif animations so when you post your submissions you should upload only a still image and your texts. Later you can edit the post at Steemit or Busy and add your Gif. Hopefully if the contest is successful and there are a lot of entries, nTopaz will make it a priority.

The contest will start at Saturday 27 April and finish at Saturday 11 May, 12am Korean Standard Time.

Guidelines.

To make the contest more interesting we will accept 2 different kind of submissions, i will also give examples so you can understand better the different concepts.

1. Frame to frame gif created with an animation program, maybe it could be a small story or a combination of movements in a loop. You can use graphics, photos, drawings or combinations, get as creative as you like but if you use parts of another artist's work you must mention the source.

2. Step by step gif from one of your artworks. All artists use Gifs to present their process and sometimes the result is more artistic and cool than the actual artwork. Please keep in mind that the gif in this case must be of a new artwork. Do not post process gifs of your older artworks.

Examples.

As examples i chose two nTopaz artists who i really admire and their works fit the guidelines and the spirit of the contest.

1. As an example for the frame to frame animation gif i would like to present @bidesign's artwork, titled Easter Bunny The artist worked really creative and transformed the original photo to a unique work of art. Check all the little movements that animate (bring to life) the image.

1. For the step by step gif i chose Libra by a new and very talented nTopaz artist @abrahmatan. I love his gif and even if it was created as a way to show the different steps the artist took to create his image, i consider it a work of art on its own.

Rules.

1. New art only. The Gifs must be made for the purpose of this contest.
2. Some process photos must be included to validate your artwork.
3. Each artist may submit up to 3 entries.
4. Must be uploaded through nTopaz contest page: https://www.ntopaz.com/contest/51
5. Keep it safe for work. NSFW entries will NOT be accepted.
6. If you rely on reference to produce your work, please cite your source.

Awards.

This contest is sponsored by @nTopaz in terms that they will award Topaz tokens to the winners.
