Since 2010 i have been organizing collage workshops for people who like art and want to make something creative and rather simple. I have my own collage technique based on the stained glass art and since my early days in art i managed to find a way of making it a lesson. My workshops last for three months and each student makes one artwork per month. Even though i expected artists to take part at my workshops, all of my students are people who are looking to make a beautiful craft work and relax their mind through the creative process.
This is an example from the first month lesson we did at the collage workshop. The purpose was for the students to get familiar with the tools and also work a lot with their imagination. Trying to make different surreal combinations of images. i printed a stack of various vintage images in different sizes and chose as background a wooden floor image with great perspective. They cut the images they like and in this way learn to use the cutting tool. later they started arranging the images to the background and together tried to find different combinations. sometimes the images were narrating a short story and other times just look cool together. It depended of the imagination of each student. Sadly i could not find photographs for all three of them, but all were equally great.
