The pains I feel
Is like nothing I've ever seen
The moon I see
Makes me want to sing
Oh I know its alright
Oh I know, I will rise

They say at the end of every tunnel
There comes the light
Even when it is dark at night
And I couldn't find my sight
There is hope in my mind
A symbol of moonlight
Amidst stars that shine bright
Just a little bit more of might
I'll make the daylight

Even when the tides become rough
And the sail is becoming tough
Even when the captain lost his cap
And he couldn't find his map
Or maybe the ship is under attack
Torn to pieces by sharks
Wrecked till it becomes a shack
I know I will find my way back

Even when I become aged
That every part of my body aches
And my solemn humming couldn't do the trick
Of healing the cricks and pains around my hip
I wouldn't spare myself the trip
Of climbing up to the mountain tip
Watching the beautiful stars in the sky
And waving to the larks as they fly high
Because one day, all that I feel will be gone
I might just be lying on bed in my home
And all that remain of me are my flesh and bones
I will smile and live, while I still have the time
Because the breath I own, is not really mine
