Why should we engage so much in religiosity? and not in really living as Christ exhorts us to live?
While I was working, a brother from another congregation approached me and started telling me that women should not wear pants, we should not make up or cut our hair, we should not paint our nails.
And that women should wear only long skirts because pants are for men.
I used to analyze how many women walk as he says and how many men walk with the Bible under their arms, only pretending and do not give true testimony with their actions.
Certainly the woman should dress decently, but to show that I accept Christ in my heart, it is not enough to put myself up to my ankles, because that does not help me if I talk the same way as before, I sin the same or worse than before and I do not give testimony LIVE.
It is to demonstrate with my way of being that I am no longer the same as BEFORE.
So, how much protocol in the dress? If my heart stays the same?
I believe that we should care more about being better people and better CHRISTIANS, helping others and living more in holiness.
That in judging how others dress and put as many "NO"
And it comes through our hearts, not after our clothes.
In truth, we should not dress to provoke others, but in a decorous and moderate way.
But to be told that pants are not women's attire, is something wrong for me.
And let us be a living witness, that other people reach the feet of the LORD by our action, let us show that we really live for God. And we control an important part of our body that is the "LANGUAGE" which is very dangerous.
And show that we are happy, because that is what Christ is ... HAPPINESS AND JOY IN OUR LIVES.
No bitterness and rancor.
