Over the past years, the global economic system has continued to take a downward slide. Many businesses have collapsed and countless workers have been laid off. Securities on the global stock markets have suffered huge losses, rendering a large number of investors bankrupt and others heavily indebted.
Budgets have been tightened and prices of commodities have gone sky-rocketed. However, these things should not be a cause for alarm to the true believer. They are in fulfillment of the scriptures which cannot be broken. The prophecies concerning the last days specifically points to many alarming occurrences that have been repeatedly occurring in recent times (Matt. 24:6-12) can take solace in God's faithfulness because his sufficiency is in God (Phil.4:19)
This is not the time to bemoan austerity or indulge in worry and anxiety; neither is it the to grumble, complain or murmur. In fact, the Bible says all things work together for good... (Rom. 8:28). You need to develop a positive and proactive attitude to the lingering economic meltdown and recession. This also will pass away!
