I had to make a trip to San Pedro Sula, which happens to be the second largest city in Honduras, and probably the busiest as most manufacturing is done here. Products like flour, sugar, smelted iron, clothing, cement, soft drinks, beer, snacks, processed meat, pasteurized milk and a lot of others are produced here.
It is a very hot city temperatures reaching over 40 C, it is also kind of modern with some nice high rise buildings, boulevards, malls etc. It also has the tallest building in Central America (excluding Panama) which is 400 ft high and 31 stories, I didn't go to that part of town so I didn't see it.
It also happens to have a reputation for being a very violent city with a lot of crime. I stayed there two days, but never went out at night, I might be not that smart but I am not an idiot, I don't know this place so I am not going to chance it.
All in all it was a nice outing at least I got to see different sites, even though the bus ride killed my back, I am nursing it now.
