The price of all crypto coins is down and I mean really down, of course in cases like Bitcoin it really isn't bad because just a few months ago it was at less than $4,000.00 and now it is well above $9,000.00 so no problem there, except I guess people who only think on profits will have expected it to be at $20,000.00 by now, well it isn't and that is the way it is.
Now Steem on the other hand has lost value in a very hard way, it is now at less than $0.21 the lowest it has been since the beginning of this year, and Steem has not had a surge like Bitcoin has, so no lucky people who made it rich here this year. Of course a low Steem price is very discouraging for people who are trying to make Steem a lifesaver, people live on votes around here, and I'm talking about people who have little or no money which is most of us, for someone who can invest a few hundred thousand dollars on a crypto coin the problems are different, this guy invested with the idea of profiting from the price hikes so right now his investment is probably in the red.
Since I see no one saying that Bitcoin is going to rally anytime soon, even though of course nobody knows what will really happen, the odds are good that BTC will reach $8,000.00 and even though it seems that when BTC goes up Steem doesn't follow the trend it sure seems it follows it when BTC goes down. So how low can we expect Steem to go? I am betting on it reaching $0.10 before we see any improvements, now you have to understand my predictions suck that is just how I feel.
Now I see many people trying to rationalize this and say that while a 20,000 vote with Steem at $0.25 is worth $0.30 that is more than 1.5 Steem, if Steem shoots up to $2.00 that same 1.5 Steem will be worth $3.00 so everything is good. Now that is great, IF it goes up we are going to be in great shape. But, yes I guess it should eventually go up, but when people try to explain this they start with Vests and how much vests Steem has and that that is what gives you what a vote is worth. That is turning off people, too complicated, if you want to know what your vote is worth without much trouble just go to https://www.steemnow.com/ it has a small calculator that will do the math for you. Of course this calculator works with the 3.5 day average price so it won't be exact but I guess most of us can do the math.
Here you can see where the calculator is located, it is on the top left hand corner of the page and I also put an image of the calculator just FYI that is not my account, not even close.
