Coingecko has Bitcoin at $9,196.00 at the moment while Coinmarketcap has it at $9,259.00 a noticeable difference, I have no idea of the why of these differences but this must just be the way each comapny measures the price.
I know it seems coinmarketcap counts some Steem that coingecko doesn't in its overall market view, this could increase the dollar amount of Steem but wouldn't this just make things worse price wise?
Now what really unsettles me is that lately I have been reading that coingecko's measures are much more accurate than coinmarketcap and looking at what these two show for Steem it really worries me. You know CoinGecko has Steem at 90 place in market cap with a value of over 46 million USD, Coinmarketcap on the other hand has it in 87th place with a market value of a little over $50 million.
Now if the more accurate of the two is CoinGecko as has been consistently reported on Steemit I am afraid we could in the very near future see Steem out of the top 100 market cap coins, because the price is declining.
I think it would be sad and more than that, dangerous for Steem to fall out of that top 100, let's hope things do pick up these days, I fear another bear run by Bitcoin and we are out of that 100.
