I think that this hard fork is a fact, it is coming I don't know when but it will happen. Will it be a problem solver? Probably not, I have been here for nearly three years and Steemit is down 20-0 with their hard forks, not a single one worked out as they hoped it would, unfortunately. Well, at least they didn't work out for users perhaps STINC and a few others did get a benefit out of them.
But for XXI I see a lot of people who were ardent apologizers for STINC have turned around and are not at all pleased with what could happen, many of them actually fear this could hit Steemit real hard, and I guess many fear they stand to lose whatever they have earned or invested here.
I think worrying about this or trying to change what is going to happen is a waste of time, the hard fork will be implemented. Why? Because the witnesses are still dependent on Freedom or Pumpkin or whatever to retain their position so whatever STINC wants they will do. Which brings me to another thing, I read a post about a lot of witnesses powering down and in the comments the main excuse was that they were making too little money and couldn't finance their mining operation. This I guess is a lie, because if I am not making money I wouldn't be bullied into accepting doing a hard fork which is iffy at best.
But I digress, as I said there is nothing that can be done, if STINC wants the hard fork it will be done and whatever happens we have to suck it up. Actually my account is so small I don't think anything can hurt it, I even think I could come out a winner with this hard fork. After all what is relevant is the price of Steem, if it goes up all is good, of course if it tanks there goes the platform.
