Every day I look at several newspaper's online editions, and today I read an article which I found interesting on The Guardian, among the comments I found one that included a quote from Dr. Lawrence Britt (OK, I had never heard of him) and his 14 characteristics of Fascism. These are the 14 characteristics:
I was impressed because apart from a few of these like # 8 and 9 I could have said these were all characteristics of the totalitarian communist governments of the twentieth century, you know the Soviet Union its satellite states, Cuba, some Asian countries etc. So we come to the detail that these communist countries were also fascist which is something I have believed all along.
But then I looked carefully at all 14 and you know something, Honduras' government which is supposed to be a moderate right one fits all the items, I mean all. And this is nothing I see a lot of countries where all or at least most of these items are also fulfilled, for example Turkey, Hungary, Poland, Brazil etc. So does this mean that both right wing governments and left wing governments are fascist?
To me the answer is - Yes, they are both the same thing only each one tries to color itself differently the left with the idea that they are looking after the good of society in general by socialist means and the right looks after it by the famous free market, have you noticed, all right wing governments make a big show about free markets and how they will ensure the prosperity of the population.
Well I think both are just crap, they are made just to fool people like you and me into believing that they are actually both looking after the common good. The only thing they are looking after is the welfare of that famous 1%, that group that controls everything, notice how whatever the ruling system there is always a group that takes most of the riches.
