I saw a post today that asked if Brazil really needed Neymar after they won the Copa America without him. Now I guess the question is rhetorical because even if Neymar had played the most they could have achieved is what they did without him, come out champions.
But the thing is can Brazil just stop calling Neymar because they won something without him? I don't think so, would you not call Messi because he has never won a cup with his national team? Or Ronaldo, because he is too old? No you have to call the best players you have, it doesn't guarantee anything but I am sure a coach would feel much better if he knows he has Neymar, Messi or Ronaldo ready to play for him.
I don't particularly like any of these three players but I cannot argue that they are not good, each one of them is great and they have to be in any call, only way I wouldn't count on them is if they are injured as was Neymar's case in this cup. One of the major problems any coach would have in not calling them is if they miss a chance at a cup, immediately every person in the country would be very sour with him.
