I don't have to, you just have to visit Costa Rica and you will see what is possible. It isn't perfect but it is one hell of a lot better than anything else on this continent including the USA.

I don't think that is true, in Honduras we can lawfully own 5 weapons and a lot of people do, guns are a very defining part of manhood around here. Still doesn't do much good against police and army who

The main problem is the army or security forces. That is the first thing these governments do left, center or right, bribe the army and police with lots of money and then they have them in their pockets.

I am from Honduras @freebornangel, things have gotten ugly here, the government is doing all it can to stop the protests but they are ongoing, and some have gotten ugly, just during the weekend over twenty
