I guess Hard Fork 21 is just around the corner and then we shall see what happens. I can envision three things happening, one HF21 is a flop and Steemit and Steem will be in even worse shape than before. Two, it doesn't change things much and we remain at about the same shape we are right now and third it works out fine and Steem and Steemit are vastly improved. I tend to go with the first option, I see no reason for this Hard Fork to benefit Steemit and in fact I think a lot of people will just outright quit while the majority will receive less rewards and the ones who will likely benefit a little, the large accounts will have to ask themselves if that small benefit was worth it.
You see all the things that will impact Steemit like 50/50, a reward curve or the downvotes have already been tried before and Hard Forks were made to remove them and yet nobody seems to see the irony of that. 50/50? Tried already, didn't work out too good. Reward curve, also tried didn't work out too good. And the downvotes, we already have flagging, if I want to flag someone because I think their work is harmful I will do it even if I lose VP, so I see nothing new there.
But what I have seen lately is that now if I am against Hard Fork 21 I am just a bad Steemian using FUD to bad mouth the platform and yet I am hypocritical enough to still post and expect rewards. Has it ever occured to the people who say this that on the contrary we want Steem and Steemit to succeed and look at HF21 as a step backward? This is just like politicians blaming someone, has it ever crossed your mind that you could be the ones who are mistaken and HF21 is going to screw things up even more than they are now?
So just get the idea that we are trying to disrupt your HF21 out of malice out of your mind and try using it as a propaganda tool, we just mistrust the HardFork out of experience, because not a single Hard Fork done on Steemit has actually come out right. And if this one does fail it could well be Steem on the line, what will be your answer to that? I truly hope this HF works but I have serious doubts.
