Yesterday, February 11, tragedy struck the frozen roads of Fort Worth, Texas, leaving at least 6 dead in a 133-car pileup.

I have to believe there are lessons to be learned from something like this. There has to be.
Watching footage, like the video linked below, is surreal. It's like something out of one of those Final Destination movies.
I think the reason I find this so disturbing is because of how many random events had to take place for this to turn out the way it did. This wasn't a premeditated attack, or an act of nature that couldn't be avoided. No, this was a culmination of hundreds of actions that were taken, or not taken, which lead to this.
So, are there lessons that can be learned from this? More importantly, if there are, will these lessons be heeded?
