Wicked

I recently delved into my Spotify playlists looking for something I'd not listed to for a while and came across a Chris Isaak playlist, a fellow who's music I have a lot of time for. He came onto the scene in the mid-1980's and backed up his first album a couple of years later but it wasn't until the song Wicked Game in 1989 (off his third album) that he got the attention I believe he was due. So, I pressed play on my Chris Isaak playlist and for the last few days it's been on a heavy rotation.

Apparently Isaak wrote the song soon after receiving a phone call from a women calling with the intention of arranging a hook up with him and it's about powerful "attraction towards people that are not necessarily good for you," to quote Isaak himself.

For me, it's just a pretty cool track and I like it a lot.

Rather than just share the track itself I've added a couple different covers of it which are both completely different from the original and each other. You can find them below linked by the artist's name.

I've heard covers that are much better than the original and the opposite also, some covers are simply heinous; I don't mind that they occur though, it's often interesting to hear someone's interpretation of an original song I like, a blend of the original and the personality, perception, artistic creation, tone or mood that the new artist brings.

In the case of the three tracks above, all completely different interpretations, I like them all and I wonder what you think.
