I've begun my weekend thoughts a little early this week; I need to wait a couple of days before it arrives but considering the week I've had I felt it was appropriate to start early.
I've been grumpy all week; I'm not ashamed to say it, in fact it helps somewhat to acknowledge I've been in that frame of mind, gets it out in the open to be dealt with...Who wants to be grumpy all the time? Not me!

Is it an adventure weekend of hiking, kayaking or off-roading, a weekend of walks on the beach and fish and chips watching the sun set or maybe it's a stay at home and lock the world out weekend. Or, could it be a hybrid weekend? Maybe I could concatenate a few of the above and enjoy a little of each? I think I'm onto something here.
This weekend could be our last free weekend for a while. Faith has an operation coming up in a few weeks and her mum's operation for her secondary cancer issue should be scheduled prior to that as well so we'll have our hands full moving forward; Faith's recuperation and her mum's operation-recovery and subsequent chemotherapy is likely to take a lot of focus over the next six months or so. Of course, my job and Faith's (our) business still needs to continue so...The G-dog and Faith household will be a busy place.
I don't much feel like being very social at the moment so it's likely we'll stay home Saturday; I've got a few jobs I was supposed to do last Sunday that didn't get done because I went shooting instead so I'll do that during the day and we'll probably either read and listen to music Saturday night or watch a movie, maybe even a board game.
I'm keen for a hike on Sunday so I think we'll pack some snacks and hike for most of the day; The drive to the spot will be good too, relaxing.
Of course the #weekend-engagement topic post will be out on Friday night so I'll have some fun responding to everyone and getting active there - I like scrolling down the feed and dropping a comment here and there.
So, that's what's on the horizon for my weekend.
Faith and I are no different to others, we feel pressure and have difficult times to face as well. I know many of you out there have your own difficulties and whilst they may be different to mine they are no less challenging. I don't like being grumpy, it's not in my character really, although it happens. Acknowledging it and pushing it out by piling on positive things, enjoyment and happiness is how I like to deal with it...And Sometimes I just let it run its course.
I hope to see you guys around on the #weekend-engagement topic this week, and don't forget to post all your weekendy content, thoughts, plans and pictures here in the Engage the weekend Community community.
Feel free to comment below, tell me about your weekend, tell me to cowboy-up and stop being grumpy or whatever you wish...I'll respond...In a non-grumpy way. I promise.
I'll leave you with a little quote from my mate Buddha:
“To enjoy good health, to bring true happiness to one’s family, to bring peace to all, one must first discipline and control one’s own mind. If a man can control his mind he can find the way to Enlightenment, and all wisdom and virtue will naturally come to him.”
The weekend isn't far away, so here's to a good, non-grumpy, one!🙂
Design and create your ideal life, don't live it by default - Tomorrow isn't promised.
Be well
