Week thirty four of the #weekend-engagement topic has officially come to an end and it's time to wrap it up and hand out some hive to a few people who participated.

The topic was about influence...Influencers more to the point. I asked you to share one or more people who have influenced your lives and by far the most popular choice was family; Parents and grandparents in fact. It makes a lot of sense of course.

Bee influenced or bee an influencer; It changes lives - Maybe even your own.

Thank you to those who joined in this week and helped place over 300 comments to the blockchain, many of which were almost post-sized, and for sharing some personal stories about your lives and who has helped shaped them. If you're keen to take a look for yourself you can see the post here.

So right about now it's time to send some hive. This week yolimarag@yolimarag, artemislives@artemislives, jizzyjoe@jizzyjoe, lauramica@lauramica, kohsamui99@kohsamui99, ksteem@ksteem, kemmyb@kemmyb, mipiano@mipiano, por500bolos@por500bolos and itsjunevelasquez@itsjunevelasquez have all had seven hive transferred to their wallets.

The following people have kindly supplied the hive: bigtom13@bigtom13, dandays@dandays, tarazkp@tarazkp and myself, galenkp@galenkp.

I believe influence comes from all around us, not just directly from a person; One could be influenced by an example set by a complete stranger or a few words scrawled on a wall in the street just as easily as by a university professor, parent or role-model.

It's in our best interest to take influences, understand them, how they may apply or work for us, and either discard or deploy them. It's a choice people must make for themselves, a choice that comes with future-implications.

So, thank you to everyone who participated this week and I hope you'll be back for next week. I'm thinking I'll do something different next week, just for fun, so drop by my post feed next week or take a look at THE WEEKEND community as I'll pin it there.

I'm going to end with a quote from Herodotus, the chap who is most noted for writing the record of the Greco-Persian Wars called The Histories. I think it says it all.

The most hateful human misfortune is for a wise man to have no influence. - Herodotus
