It doesn't take much to ruin my photography, it's not all that great in the first place so I guess one could say it starts off ruined and accelerates its journey to full-on ruination as I proceed.
A few days ago I had the excellent idea to get some snaps in my garden. I'd looked out the window and there was no wind so out I went, macro lens fitted, and excited to get some snaps...and, ruination happened before I even got started. The wind came up.
Wind isn't great for macro photos as the subject moves and the shots turn out all blurry. I'm speaking for my macro shots here, yours might come out spectacularly well in the wind because you know what you're doing, but I don't so the slightest breeze ruins my photo shoot.
The wind wasn't all that strong, just enough to move the plants a little making photography virtually impossible...but I persisted, I'm not the quitting type. The wind won out though, and I quit. Well, I quit the outside part and ended up grabbing a few flowers to shoot inside. What you see here is a handful of those photos.
Rather than use my lightbox I chose to shoot in my kitchen using...umm, I'm not sure what they're called to be honest, for the base. It's a round thing that sits in the middle of the table and turns. A person puts stuff on it so that everyone around the table can turn the thingy and rotate the food within reach. I guess it's a person-operated-table-sitting-food-holding-turny-thingy. Yep, that's what it's called. This particular person-operated-table-sitting-food-holding-turny-thingy is wood-grained and I thought it might make a good background and different from that of my lightbox.
I've got a few other images of these flowers, daisies they're called, and will use them in a post here and there moving forward, but for now here's some photos I took just because the wind blows.
