The thing that got me over the hump was accepting that I had to do whatever I could to stay in the game.

- Dennis Eckersley -

I'm a lean-forward sort of man; I work towards results, outcomes, goals and situations I prefer to happen rather than float along hoping for those results but doing nothing to achieve them. It's rewarding but comes with potential for risk, disappointment, failure and other such less-desirable outcomes...but still, I lean forward, apply myself, and move a little closer to desired outcomes by taking the actions that move me in the right direction.

I don't (often) whine and complain about my working week or mark off the days as they go by, I just get on with things...but because I'm human (or so I've been told) it happens.

I've had a really good week so far, secured a couple new and lucrative customer-accounts I've been working on for six months, although it's been hectic with a lot of stuff coming out of nowhere or, rather, coming from places outside my neatly planned, strategized and scheduled weekly plan. I know how to think on my feet, prioritise, delegate and efficiently operate, but that's takes a toll from an energy and time perspective of course and right now I'm a bit emotionally tuckered out.

I got to today, Wednesday, and it felt like it should be Friday already although wishing my life away isn't something I like to do...I'm old enough to have less life ahead of me than behind so flippantly wishing it away doesn't seem productive. But this week I kind of want it to be 17:00 Friday already...Actually, let's call it 15:00 as it's likely I'll issue myself an early start to the weekend on Friday afternoon.

Wednesdays are good though, the hard up-hill slog is done and the down-hill run and picking up speed situation taking me into the weekend begins...It is a nice hurdle, or hump to get over.

This morning began as always; a caf茅 with coffee and breakfast - that bacon, egg, spinach and cheese toasted sandwich above. I also took some time to think about this week, past, present and future, and about what's required of me to keep the momentum going, the work-rate, how to keep my thoughts and attitudes in the right place and me leaning forward into the rest of the week. I guess we all go through tough days, difficulties, trials and tribulations but there comes a point when we need to look at the options which are generally, give up or move forward, and depending on what we decide dictates what we do...Then we just have to do it, one thing at a time.

I'm the get to work guy which is essential to being the move forward guy. Giving up isn't in my nature, and I prefer to be in control of my life, to design, create and shape it into the life I want to live...that's why I do what's required. I don't work at my job for my employer, I work to provide a way to fund my life and lifestyle, but when I'm there I give one hundred percent, it's just how I am. I don't really mind any of the days of the working-week but Wednesday is the humpiest and one of my favourites.

We all have different work schedules and commitments so, what is your favourite day of the working week? Do you even have a favourite? If you do, feel free to comment below with which one, and why.

Design and create your ideal life, don't live it by default - Tomorrow isn't promised so be humble and kind
