The bonkers arrives

I've been waiting for this for months now, the day the bonkers arrives and it's almost here.

I'm talking about the arrival of my nephew @mrbnkers which is happening very soon and I'll be collecting that "big uncle hug" he's promised me the moment he emerges from the aerobridge at the arrivals gate. Yep, I'm looking forward to it greatly and to spending time with him over the days he's down here to visit.

This weekend I'm preparing one of my houses for my brother, his wife and the little bonkers to stay in and I'll give them one of my cars so they're mobile as well; we'll spend pretty much the whole time together of course, and there's only a couple kilometres between where I live and where the other house is so our days will start with breakfast together at my place and will go from there.

We've got a lot planned but will also have time to just hang around together chatting, building Lego, and stuff like that as well. Of course, I've got some pretty legit BBQ's planned, trips to the beach, taking him shooting and letting him drive my truck (no, six and a half isn't too early for these things), a couple meals out and he'll also be here for a special annual occasion which we'll celebrate together too. It's going to be so great.

This trip was booked months ago and since then my brother has bought a house which only settled a week or so ago so they've been busy moving things to their new place, a sprawling property on over 20,000m² of land surrounded by rain forest so I know they'll want to rest up a bit which gives me the chance to take the lead and spend time with my nephew while his mum and dad take it easy.

Anyway, it'll all kick off soon but right now I have to get back to arranging that house for them, getting everything in place and making sure they'll be comfortable and catered for.
