I agree with you, *it speaks highly of a person who can accept their incorrect actions humbly and gracefully and take the ownership to apologise and responsibility to do it better moving forward. Many have done so in my communities, and I respect and support them, but many have not.

Here's the funny thing, this @amirl character, until I saw the second language in the post below the English, I was going to vote and curangel it. Then I saw the...whatever language it was, and was like oh bugger. Had he edited the other language out I would have unmuted, voted and curangeled. Maybe his entitlement is worth more to him than the post rewards though.

Having that feeling of entitlement can be incredibly limiting to a person, can bring disappointment, feelings of loss and other things also, derision for one. But people will still do it.

Our young entitled friend @amirl will never see this post or these comments because he muted me. It's a shame really, as he may have learned something.
