I understand and I did the same. But after many attacking responses rather than productive forward motion I ceased doing so. I still get attacking comments and some quite reprehensible Discord messages but that's ok, they nuke their own account as per what's happening currently. Association with troll/spam accounts with -11 reps is rarely going to endear a person to others.

I've had my previous personal address doxed on Hive. Someone reached out to my (previous) workplace and many quite disgusting comments like calling me white trash (I'm brown), Nazi and other such things. All because they were addressed for their anti-community behaviour. None had any effect on me and a lot of effect on the account that did so; I went from a healthy rep to -10. And...job done. Same old story, they follow the exact same path.
