Self improvement is pretty easy; A person just has to do something to make it happen, as you have clearly pointed out. The complications come when people lose motivation, bow to their fear of failure or simply don't act in the first place.
One of the keys to self improvement, in my opinion, is knowing WHY one wants to improve in the first place.
Saying, I want to lose weight is one thing...Understanding the reasons why adds more power to the statement, and that can assist attitude and motivation to actually take the actions that will make it happen.
It's all very simple really, just difficult to deploy and maintain if the motivation, the WHY is unclear.
It's easy to lay the blame for failure at someone else's feet...But the failure to achieve personal improvement, progress or development is one's own failure.
I like how you're thinking here, and...*What a cute little cat! (I'm a cat lover.)
