Hi there Herbert, thanks for responding and of course, reading my post in the first place.

This year has been a doozy huh? I think many feel the way you do whether they admit to it or not. For me, well, I've had ups and downs and have pretty much had a terrible 2020 with more to come...My wife and her mum's operations etc. I'm no different to others in that it affects me and brings me low at times.

But...I'm still standing, as are you.

I find that taking small steps forward, when I'm in a funky down-mood, helps. Add in a little something of a positive nature: Compliment someone, smile at them, show appreciation and gratitude...The resulting smile or grateful thanks comes back at me and I feel somewhat better. Add in a little more, a sunset, walk on the beach, a hike, Netflix and cuddles on the couch with my wife and all of a sudden things start to look better.

It's the little things, moving forward incrementally, that helps me. Of course I write here too and that's a huge help.

I don't think there's any shame in saying, hey I'm feeling down; It's smart to do so in fact as it allows people to rally around and opens up a person for change.

Anyway, I'm pleased to have said something that inspired you to think and act in a way that will move you forward...A small step, but a step nonetheless.
